I have been a teacher, manager, coach, entrepreneur, trainer-facilitator, designer and consultant for 30 years with multi-national companies, families, government, non-government organizations and individuals. What gets me excited and inspired is when I see the greatness and productivity of persons expressed in ways that surprise themselves as well as organizations operating at a level of effectiveness that they may have previously thought of as impossible. Breaking boundaries and being open to surprises while trusting the change process has been my mantra.

This book will hopefully reach more people who are interested in the business of transforming lives and improving the quality of work while having a personal life.

Introduction:
Are you scared of water or are you like a dolphin totally having fun in the sea? I had a near fatal accident scuba diving off the coast of Mauritius and for some years I got scared swimming with big waves.
Some people are terrified when they see big waves, but I know of some people who are totally excited and enlivened at the sight of those waves. For these people, the bigger the wave, the better. They are the surfers. And I use the exuberance of surfers and the sport of surfing as a metaphor to managing the change process.
